LYN CODDING IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Evelyn Margaret “Lyn” Stook Codding, 81, of Idaho Falls, passed away May 25, 2006, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. She was born April 28, 1925, in Verona, New York, to Arthur J. Stook and Eunice E. Ott Stook. She grew up in Verona and graduated from Verona High School. She then attended New York State Agricultural and Technical Institute in Canton, New York, and served her internship as a hospital dietician at United Hospital in Port Chester, New York. She then worked as a dietician at Samaritan Hospital in Troy, New York. She married James William Codding, Jr. July 2, 1946, in Verona, New York. She was a homemaker and mother. They moved to Idaho Falls in 1957 and have lived here ever since. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Round Table Study Club, the Show and Share Homemakers Club, and served as a volunteer at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center from 1961 to 1998. Survivors include: Husband: James Codding of Idaho Falls, ID Son: James W. (Cheryl) Codding III of Idaho Falls, ID Son: Jeffrey W. Codding of Boonville, MO Daughter: Sharon E. (Ken) Shoemaker of Idaho Falls, ID Brother: Robert A. (Marion) Stook of Verona, NY 6 Grandchildren & 7 Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorial Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 27, 2006, at the Idaho Falls First Presbyterian Church, 325 Elm Street, with Reverend Dr. Dennis Falasco officiating. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park under the direction of Wood Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to First Presbyterian Church, 325 Elm Street, Idaho Falls, ID 83402. ------------------------------------------- Condolences sent online: Ellen and Robert Schuman We were very sad to hear that Lyn has died. Lyn and Ellen had said good-bye at their cars after the Round Table luncheon. It is particularly hard to lose Lyn. She was a wonderful friend and such a gracious lady. We surely will miss her.
