Evelyn Scott

EVELYN B. SCOTT IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Evelyn Beckstead Scott, 57, of Rigby, died July 11, 2002 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. She was born October 13, 1944 in Driggs, Idaho, the youngest of four children born to Thomas Allen Beckstead and Genevieve Thompson Beckstead. As a child the family lived on a ranch in Driggs, Idaho. They then moved to Victor, where her parents ran a restaurant and a petroleum bulk plant. Later they moved to Tetonia, where they owned and operated a café. In 1955 she moved with her parents to Idaho Falls, Idaho, where she attended Idaho Falls High School. She married Doyle V. Heyrend in 1960. They had three wonderful boys: Bran, Randy R. and Trad. They lived south of Idaho Falls, where the family farmed and ranched for many years. Evelyn & Doyle were later divorced. Evelyn attended Vogue Beauty College and worked in the Salon as a hair stylist up until the time of her death. She made many lifelong friends there. She was known to be a most caring and kind person, and a joy to be around. She loved to entertain for her friends and family, and she was the life of the party. On June 4, 1983 she married her beloved Robert Scott Jr. They lived east of Rigby in the Labelle area. They loved traveling together and traveled through Europe many times. They also enjoyed skiing, hiking, and camping in their trailer. Bob showed her the world. Evelyn enjoyed gardening, cooking, antiquing, and redecorating her home. Most of all she enjoyed her sons. She loved to watch her boys in wrestling matches when they were young. She was an avid wrestling fan. Her passion and love for her family only grew as the family grew. She enjoyed spending time with all of her grandchildren; and she made time for all of them, whether it was a weekend trip, a school choir concert, or just to get an ice cream cone. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers, Eugene, Donald and Garl. Surviving family members are husband, Robert Scott, sons, Bran (Regina) Heyrend, Randy (Pamela) Heyrend, Trad (Ronda) Heyrend, and seven grandchildren. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2002, at the Wood Chapel of the Pines. The family will meet with friends Monday from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. and for one hour prior to the services on Tuesday, both at Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Ave, Idaho Falls, Idaho. I am very sorry to hear of Evelyn's death. She was a very special person and will be missed. Posted by Karen Warner @ 07/15/2002 05:23 AM MST If you would like to offer your condolences fill in the form below.
