Evelyn Mae (Hanson) Denton

Evelyn Mae Denton, 83, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 9, 2021, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.  She was under the care of Aspen Home Health and Hospice.

Evelyn was born September 19, 1937, in Velva, North Dakota, to Leonard Hanson and Hilda  Looman Hanson.  She grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls.

On November 1, 1952, she married Thomas Elmer Denton in Idaho Falls, Idaho, in the first ever triple wedding in Idaho Falls. Evelyn and Thomas made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Evelyn was a homemaker and mother.

She enjoyed bowling, fishing, crafts and gardening.

Evelyn is survived by her son, Leonard Denton of Twin Falls, ID; daughters, Julie Oliver and Teresa Denton, both of Idaho Falls, ID; and 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

A viewing for family and friends will be held from 6 - 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 17, 2021, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue in Idaho Falls.
