EVAN CROPPER
IDAHO FALLS, ID - Evan Wise Cropper, 87, of Idaho Falls,
died September 23, 2003, at his home at Fair Winds Retirement Center.
He was born January 7, 1916 in Deseret, Millard County,
Utah, to Glen Wise Cropper and Adar May Taylor Cropper. He grew up there
and attended school until 10th grade then helped support his family through
the depression.
He married Theo Ila Morgan February 14, 1941 in Rigby,
Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple August 13,
1964. They owned and operated the North Hiway Cafe for 26 of the 58 years
they lived in Idaho Falls. He later held investments in property in and
around Idaho Falls. Theo preceded him in death February 15, 1983. He married
Larene Smith in December of 1992.
As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter
Day Saints, he has served as a counselor in three separate bishoprics.
He enjoyed going to his cabin in Island Park with his family,
fishing and gardening.

Daughter: Julie (Lee) Winward, Springville, UT
Son: Glen (Cindy) Cropper, Idaho Falls, ID
Sister: Glenda (Jay) Wood, Cuppertino, CA
Sister: Tilly Cropper, Provo, UT
12 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, a sister, Helen Peery and a
brother, Blaine Cropper.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m Saturday, September
27, 2003, at the Idaho Falls LDS 16th Ward, 9th and Boulevard, with Bishop
Mark Richardson officiating.
The family will visit with friends Friday, 7-8:30 p.m.,
at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge, and at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Burial will be in Annis-Little Butte Cemetery under the
direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave., Idaho Falls, ID 83402-4092
