Eva R. Russell - 07/10/2002 Eva R. Russell - 07/10/2002 EVA R. RUSSELL IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Eva Rose Russell, 98, of Idaho Falls, died July 9, 2002, at Good Samaritan Nursing Center. She was born January 10, 1904 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Charles Reed and Juanita Johnson Reed. She attended Idaho Falls High School, Albion Normal School, and Idaho State University. along with other institutions of higher learning. She eventually received a Master's Degree from ISU. She married Arthur Payne Russell December 21, 1923 in Casper, Wyoming. Together they raised one son and two daughters. She worked as a school teacher for 43 years before retiring in 1969. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and participated in the Church Women United, Order of the Eastern Star, and Rebecca's/Odd Fellows, along with numerous other civic and professional organizations. She was also a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority and Retired Teachers Association. She was an avid traveler, both before and following retirement. She visited all 50 states and most foreign countries. Surviving are:Son: Arthur Lewis (Jacque) Russell, Littleton, CODaughter: Evagene Margaret Nelson, Evergreen, CoDaughter: Dolores Kae (Arnold) McMurtrey, Rigby, ID 12 Grandchildren, 27 Great Grandchildren, and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband on November 10, 1953 and sons-in-law, Lynn H. Reinhold and Richard Nelson. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m Saturday, July 13, 2002, at the Trinity United Methodist Church, 237 North Water Avenue, Idaho Falls. The family will visit with friends following the burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Wood Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Good Samaritan Nursing Center, Trinity United Methodist Church, or a charity of your choice.
