Evarista Torres Leal, 84, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 23, 2015, at her home. She was under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho.
Eva was born September 4, 1931, in Brownsville, Texas, to Ramon Torres and Josfiana Hernades Torres.
On December 26, 1949, she married Raymundo Leal in Big Springs, Texas. To this union were born three daughters, Oarlia, San Juana, and Irene. Eva and Ray made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, since 1964, where Eva worked as a house keeper for Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cross stitch, sewing, and cooking. She loved helping people.
Eva is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Ray Leal of Idaho Falls, ID;
daughter, San Juana Craig of Pittsburg, PA;
daughter, Irene (Steven) Laug of Vancouver, Canada;
7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Oralia Leal, father, Ramon Torres, mother, Josfiana Torres.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, October 29, 2015, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge, with Reverend Steven A. Laug officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
