Eva Marie Wilkins Johnson, 88, of Idaho Falls, passed away February 13, 2012, at the Good Samaritan Society, Idaho Falls Village, of natural causes.
Eva was born December 8, 1923, in Ucon, Idaho, to Reuben Wilkins and Anna Mary Dora Sorensen Wilkins. She attended school at Coltman Elementary and graduated from Ucon High School. She also attended business school briefly.
On November 12, 1946, she married Norman Clarence Johnson in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They made their home on the family farm in Coltman and Eva was a wife, mother, and homemaker. She also worked as a dental assistant, sales clerk, and in the Fairview School cafeteria. Norman passed away August 22, 1995.
An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served as Relief Society President, Primary President, Young Women leader, Primary teacher, Ward Missionary, and Temple Ordinance Worker. She and Norman served a full-time mission in Dearborn, Michigan, and she served a full-time mission in her youth to the Western States during World War II.
She enjoyed sewing, singing, quilting, gardening, reading, crossword puzzles, handwork, family history, and traveling.

Son: Brett (Marilyn) Johnson of Idaho Falls, ID,
Son: Jim (Camille) Johnson of Ucon, ID;
Sister: Lois Maxfield of Austin, TX;
25 grandchildren and 44 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Norman, five brothers, Emery Wilkins, Parley Wilkins, Willard Wilkins, Glen Wilkins, and William Wilkins, a sister, Dora Heileson Davis, two granddaughters, Kimberly Darney and Amy Mulkay, and a great grandson, Austin Hayes.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 17, 2012, at the Idaho Falls LDS Coltman 2nd Ward, Idaho Falls, with Bishop Dennis Love officiating. The family will visit with friends Friday from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge, and Saturday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be next to Norman in the Grant-Central Cemetery.
