EVA CONNELL
IDAHO FALLS, ID - Eva Bernice Connell, 83, formerly of
Lewisville, and more recently of Idaho Falls, died July 2, 2004, at Lincoln
Court Retirement Center. She was under care of Aspen Hospice.
She was born December 13, 1920, in Grant, Idaho, to Martin
Albert Christensen and Idella Webster Christensen. She grew up and attended
grade school in Grant and Roberts, then attended Madison High School in
Rexburg. The family then moved to Roberts, where she met Vernal H. Connell.
They were married July 11, 1937, at Roberts, Idaho. Their
marriage was solemnized in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple December 3, 1937.
They lived in Lewisville for forty years where they both worked in the
agricultural industry. They retired in 1983 and moved to Idaho Falls.
Vernal preceded her in death in April of 1999. She then moved to Lincoln
Court Retirement Center which she loved and where she made many wonderful
friends.
As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints, she served as a teacher in all the auxillaries, and she was a
member of Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She and her husband served an
18-month mission to Guatemala in 1977-78.
She enjoyed her children and grandchildren, gardening,
sewing and traveling, and was always an adamant fan of the Utah Jazz,
never missing a game.

Son: Larry V. (Eileen) Connell, Yakima, WA
Daughter: DeeAnna C. (Brent) Andrus, Las Vegas, NV
Son: Evan (Janette) Connell, Roache, MO
26 Grandchildren, 52 Great Grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and all of her brothers,
Faye, Lynn, Gale and Dale Christensen.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m Wednesday, July
7, 2004, at the Wood Chapel of the Pines, 273 North Ridge Avenue, Idaho
Falls.
The family will visit with friends for one hour before
the services Wednesday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made
to Aspen Foundation for Hospice Care, 3470 Washington Parkway, Idaho Falls,
Idaho, 83404.
Burial will be in Grant-Central Cemetery under the direction
of Wood Funeral Home.
