Eva Marie Phillips, 96, of Idaho Falls, passed away September 25, 2021.
Eva was born July 5, 1925, in St. Anthony, Idaho, to William Alma Bair and Metha Marie Peterson Bair. She grew up and attended schools in St. Anthony and graduated from St Anthony High School. She joined the US Army Corp, and graduated in 1946 with a nursing degree.
On March 12, 1947, she married Richard Poll Phillips in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Eva and Richard made their home Ucon, Idaho, on a small, 40 acre farm. In 1965, they moved to Roberts, Idaho, where they raised their family on a farm they purchased. After 1988, she and her husband moved and retired to Idaho Falls.
Eva blessed many lives working as an RN for forty years. She worked on the OB floor at the LDS Hospital and retired from Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
Eva was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved serving as a ministering sister. She had so many gifts and talents that she used to bless the lives of her family and friends. Among her favorite hobbies were sewing, cooking, gardening, quilting, knitting, crocheting, and cross stitching. She cherished time spent holding and loving babies. She loved spending time shopping and traveling.
Eva is survived by her children, Dennis (Barbara) Phillips of Idaho Falls, ID, daughter, Connie Marie Phillips Pierce of WA, and Kim (Diane) Phillips of Roberts, ID; 9 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Poll Phillips; her parents; brothers, William Floyd Bair, Arthur Calvin Bair, Robert Eugene Bair; sister, Amy Bair; and daughter-in-law, Delsy Mullins Phillips.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 2, 2021, at the Ucon Cemetery, 3960 East 105th North, with Tom Griggs officiating. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 1:00-2:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road.
