EUNICE L. FRANDSEN
IDAHO FALLS, ID - Eunice LuDean Frandsen, of Idaho Falls,
died October 11, 2003, at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
She was born April 19, 1916 in Ammon, Idaho to William
Jasper Hammer and Dora May Denning. She grew up in the Osgood and Ammon
areas where she attended school through the eighth grade.
She worked as a live-in nanny for many years until she
met and married Floyd D. Frandsen on May 18, 1937. They divorced after 41
years of marriage and he died August 30, 1988. Together they owned a dry
farm in Iona and Eunice worked during the winter months to supplement the
income.
She held a variety of jobs which included working for dry-cleaning services
and potato processing plants in Idaho Falls. She worked as a telephone operator
for Mountain Bell for a good many years.
She was an avid bowler and developed many friendships while enjoying that
activity. She and her family also spent many winters snow skiing. Eunice
especially loved creating and caring for flower gardens and always made
every home she lived in an envy of her neighbors. It was always a priority
to provide a clean, tidy home for her family and she did so with pride.
Many years were spent enjoying the outdoors camping, fishing and boating.
She enjoyed visiting with her granddaughters and they loved her secret-recipe
lemon pies which she always provided for special family gatherings.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints.
