Eunice Curtis - 07/19/2002 Eunice Curtis - 07/19/2002 EUNICE L. CURTIS IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Eunice Lucy Curtis, 88, of Idaho Falls, died July 19, 2002, at Lily Home. She was under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho. She was born August 8, 1913, in Victor, Idaho, to Lucy Ward Curtis and Eli Curtis. She attended school in Victor, where she graduated from high school. She continued her education and graduated from the Idaho Falls LDS School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse in 1938. Her professional career as a Registered Nurse began in private duty, and she later worked in the Medical, Obstetrics, and Central Supply departments at the LDS and Sacred Heart hospitals in Idaho Falls. She later worked as an Industrial Nurse at the Naval Reactor Facilities for 16 years before retiring in 1975. In all areas of her life, she enjoyed giving of herself and caring for people. She married Dean F. Wilkie in 1938, and they were later divorced. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held various positions. Surviving are:Daughter: Karen E. (Forde) Johnson, Idaho Falls, IDSon: Dean C. (Jan) Wilkie, Idaho Falls, ID10 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Vernon, Wesley, and Orvel Curtis; a daughter, Kay (Wayne) Smith of Kennewick, WA; and three grandchildren. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 22, 2002, at Wood Chapel of the Pines, 273 North Ridge. The family will meet with friends for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.
