Eugene Stoltenberg

EUGENE STOLTENBERG IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Eugene Clair Stoltenberg, 79, of Idaho Falls, passed away November 16, 2006, at Rexburg Nursing Center. He was born December 16, 1926, in Swan Valley, Idaho, to Francis Stoltenberg and Clara Amelia Bumann Stoltenberg. He attended schools at Pine Creek and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II. He married Julia Marcene Weeks January 10, 1949 in Garfield, Idaho. He owned and operated his farm all of his life. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, (the family gives special thanks to Granddaughter April "Rosie Matilda" Galbraith), and he enjoyed woodworking, gardening, traveling and taking long drives. Survivors include: Wife: Julia M. Stoltenberg, Rigby, ID Son: Eldon (Larene) Stoltenberg, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Chris (Sandy) Stoltenberg, Douglas, WY Son: Rodney (Tambra) Stoltenberg, Rigby, ID Son: Al (Lori) Stoltenberg, Hemet, CA Daughter: Julie (Kay) Lott, Rigby, ID Son: Ron (Rachel) Stoltenberg, Dubois, WY Son: Jon (Michelle) Stoltenberg, Douglas, WY Son: Ted (Dana) Stoltenberg, Douglas, WY Brother: Harvey (Norma) Stoltenberg, Delaware Brother: Herb Stoltenberg, Boise, ID Brother: Ronald (Marilyn) Stoltenberg, Star Valley, WY Sister: Arlie Marie Stock, Twainhart, CA Sister: Ramona (Rex) Prophet, Boise, ID Sister: Mildred Moliter, Hamilton, MT Sister: Lois Wold, Idaho Falls, ID 22 Grandchildren & 10 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Les and Eldon. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m, Monday, November 20, 2006, at the Wood East Side Chapel, 963 S. Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 6 - 8 p.m. and Monday for one hour prior to services both at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Fielding Memorial Park where military rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team. Services are under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
