Eugene Stanley Post passed away peacefully on February 13, 2025, in Queen Creek, Arizona, at the age of 94.
Stanley was born on May 21, 1930, in Great Falls, Montana, to Harry Edward Post and Dorothy Viola Schuff. He was the youngest of three with an older brother Jim and sister Faye.
After graduating from high school, he and his friend were enroute to California when they decided to stop at his friend's family home in Milo, Idaho. While staying at the Bird’s home, Stanley was introduced to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by the Bird family and was baptized. There he met and married Shirley Janiel Jordan.
Stanley joined the Army in 1951, serving in the Signal Corps. After being discharged, he worked as a security specialist at the Atomic Energy Commission on the Nuclear Transportation Unit. Shirley passed away in 2007.
Stanley is survived by his three children, Michael Eugene Post, Melvin Kim Post and Edwin Kelly Post; five grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Arizona services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Bunker University Chapel, 3529 E. University Dr, Mesa, AZ 85213, under the direction of Bunker Family Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. prior to the service.
A Family Gathering and Memorial will be held in Idaho, beginning at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2025, at the Milo Ward Church, 12127 North 75th East, Idaho Falls Idaho, 83401. Burial will follow at the Milo Cemetery.
