Eugene Hansen

Eugene Floyd Hansen, 73, of Idaho Falls, passed away May 23, 2024, at Idaho Falls Community Hospital.

Eugene was born July 6, 1950, in Driggs, Idaho, to Floyd Hansen and Lois Douglass Hansen. He grew up and attended schools in the Teton Valley and graduated from Teton High School. After graduation, he served in the United States Army for six years.

On April 30, 1976, he married Branka Bozin Hansen in Giessen, Germany. Eugene and Branka made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Eugene AND BRANKA owned Interstate Recycling. Eugene was an accomplished marksman and E6 Sgt. In the US Army.

He enjoyed metal detecting, AND PANNING for GOLD!, fishing, hunting, and wintering in Hawaii.

Eugene is survived by his wife, Branka Hansen of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Susi (Lenny) Widerburg of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Goran (Kristy) Hansen of West Jordan, UT; daughter-in-law, Corrie Hansen of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Bob (Lanae) Hansen of Idaho Falls; ID, five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many close friends and family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Lois; son, George Hansen; Sisters Carma Collins, and Faye Brower and Uncle Wayne, and Aunt Donna Douglass.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Saint Jude's.

At his request, no formal services will be held.
