Ethel Gardner

Ethel Jane Gardner, 85, of Idaho Falls, passed away December 8, 2023, at her daughter’s home. She was under the care of her loving family.

Ethel was born March 23, 1938, in Grand Valley, Colorado, to Charles Irving Lewis and Alice May  Lewis. She grew up and attended schools in Grand Valley.

On November 28, 1954, she married Fred Oscar Gardner in Grand Valley, Colorado. Ethel and Fred made their home in Rifle, Colorado, where Ethel was a homemaker.

She enjoyed making quilts, knitting, puzzles, and other crafts. She also enjoyed working in her flower beds in the summer.

Ethel is survived by her daughter, Judith Ann Bowlby of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Harry James Gardner of Parachute, CO; sister, Ella Hedrick of Rifle, CO; and 2 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred Oscar Gardner; son, Robert Orin Gardner; brother, Charles Lewis; brother, Glen Lewis; sister, Anna Wiltsey; and brother, Albert Lewis.
