Ethel Ellibee, 92, of Ammon, died July 4, 2010, at her home of natural causes. She was under the care of Hands of Hope Hospice. Ethel was born May 6, 1918, in Sage Creek, Idaho, to Henson Ira Lords and Liddy Leva Shelton Lords. She grew up west of Rigby and Idaho Falls and attended Sage Creek Elementary School, Osgood Elementary School, and Roberts High School. She lived in Soda Springs for six years and has lived in Idaho Falls most of her life. On May 6, 1937, Ethel married Arnold Tomchak. On September 12, 1957 she married Richard Wagner. In November of 1975 she married Bill Ellibee. She was a mother and a homemaker. Ethel also worked at a potato warehouse as a sorter, for a dry cleaner, and as a nanny. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Ethel enjoyed embroidery, cooking, sewing, ceramics, traveling, listening to western music and old time fiddlers, fishing, and camping. Survivors include: Son: Duane (Sam) Tomchak of Roberts, ID Daughter: Ila (Paul) Madsen of Shelley, ID Daughter: Teresa (Lou) Humphries of Kimberly, ID Daughter: Becky (Brian) Cook of Rigby, ID Brother: Tim (Donna) Lords of Idaho Falls, ID 10 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren, & 2 Great-great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, and five sisters. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue with Brian Cook officiating. The family will visit with friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday evening and from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services, both at Wood’s. Burial will be in the Rigby-Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
