ESTHER L. WIESE
SWAN VALLEY, ID -- Esther Lucille Rice Wiese, 92, of Swan Valley, passed away December 25, 2006, at Life Care Center of causes incident to age.
She was born December 22, 1914, in Poplar (near Ririe), Idaho, to David Blair Rice and Alice Rosina Smith Rice. She grew up in Poplar and attended Poplar Grade School and Ucon High School.
She married Helmet L. "Mutt" Wiese December 22, 1932, in Ucon. They made their home in Ririe for 8 years, then lived and farmed in Swan Valley 62 years before moving to Idaho Falls four years ago. She was a homemaker and mother and also recorded weather for the U. S. Forest Service.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Relief Society, Sunday School, Primary, and Young Women’s organizations. She enjoyed being a homemaker, gardening, quilting, sewing, embroidery, and singing.

Daughter: Barbara L. (Sid) Poole of Swan Valley, ID
15 Grandchildren, 29 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great Great Grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a son, Roger Dale Wiese.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 29, 2006, at Wood East Side Chapel, 963 S. Ammon Road, with her son, Bishop C. Boyd Wiese, officiating. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and Friday for one hour prior to the services, both at Wood East Side.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
