Esther Willmore Nelson, 91, of Idaho Falls, passed away September 17, 2014, at her home. She was under the care of One Source Home Health & Hospice. Esther was born August 23, 1923, in Rexburg, Idaho, to Herbert James Willmore and Drucilla Parker Willmore. She grew up and attended schools in Rexburg, and graduated from Madison High School. On November 8, 1941, she married Clarence “Wells” Nelson in Tetonia, Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple on October 28, 1942. To this union were born eight children, Kaye, Ted, Claire, Barbara, Judy, John, Carol, and Bonnie. Esther and Wells made their home in Idaho Falls, where Esther loved being a mother and homemaker. Wells passed away on May 20, 2001. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held various callings in the church. She enjoyed reading, fishing, camping, gardening, walking, writing, and bird watching. Esther is survived by her daughter, Viola Kaye (Ray) Tremelling of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Claire (David) Otvos of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Barbara (Steve) Shake of Boise, ID; daughter, Judith Ann (Lynn) Kidd of Cove, OR; daughter, Carol Marie (Kevin) Green of Parma, ID; daughter, Bonnie (Mark) Worthington of Boise, ID; daughter-in-law, Marilyn Nelson of Nampa, ID; sister, Mary (Gilbert) Kite of Rigby, ID; sister, Elaine (Wayne) Sewell of Salinas, CA; 24 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Wells Nelson; father, Herbert James Willmore; mother, Drucilla Willmore; son, Ted James Nelson; son, John Wells Nelson; son-in-law, David William Otvos; grandson, David Wells Otvos; four brothers; and five sisters. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 27, 2014, at the Idaho Falls LDS 26th Ward, 2025 Jennie Lee Drive. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Driggs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to One Source Home Health & Hospice, 3544 E. 17th Street, Suite 201, Idaho Falls, ID 83401, or a charity of your choice. The family wishes to express their gratitude to One Source Home Health & Hospice for the excellent care Esther received.
