Esther Josephine Smout Forman, 81, of Idaho Falls, passed away on April 27, 2014, at the Emerald House in Blackfoot. She was born April 25, 1933, in Lewisville, Idaho to Wilmer Ward Smout and Edith Margaret Mortensen Smout. She grew up in Lewisville and attended schools in Rigby, graduating from Rigby High School. On April 3, 1952, she married Darrell Dean Forman in Idaho Falls where they made their home. In 1955, they were sealed in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Darrell preceded her in death on February 12, 2012. Esther was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. Esther was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served faithfully in many organizations including the Primary and Young Women’s, where she coordinated many fun Girls Camps. She was a talented seamstress and loved to sew for her family. She enjoyed camping, motorbike riding, and spending time with her family. Following retirement Darrell and Esther enjoyed traveling together to California, Arizona, Southern Utah and Star Valley, Wyoming. Our Mom was 4' nothing, but 10' tall in spirit. Survivors are: Daughter: Deana Jo Orgill, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Sharon Kay (Jay) Thienes, Key West, FL Daughter: Vicki Lyn (Jeffrey) Prudent, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Darren (Sue) Forman, Idaho Falls, ID Son-in-law: George W. (Kathleen) Clarke, Idaho Falls, ID Brother: Billy (Sue) Smout, Boise, ID Brother: Doyle (Elaine) Smout, Florida Sister: Wilma (Jay) Neibaur, Salt Lake City, UT Sister: Elaine Smout 15 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren, and 2 Great Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two brothers, Bobby Smout and Kenneth Smout. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2014, at Wood Funeral Home East Side (963 S. Ammon). The family will visit with friends on Wednesday from 6:30-8 p.m. and on Thursday from 12 noon to 12:45 p.m. prior to the services, both at Wood East Side (963 S. Ammon). Burial will be in the Lewisville Cemetery.
