Esther Armstrong

Esther Lue Fisher Armstrong, 82 of Ammon, passed away December 5, 2017, at her home surrounded by family.

She was born April 2, 1935, in Rigby, to Charles Hiles Fisher and Esther Carpenter Fisher. She grew up and attended schools in Rigby.

On September 15, 1952, she married William "Dale" Armstrong in Rigby. Their marriage was later solemnized on August 28, 1957, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Esther and Dale made their home in Rigby and later moved to Ammon.

Esther was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings. She was a loving wife and mother as well as an excellent homemaker. Esther was happiest when working in her home and yard. She enjoyed making quilt tops, sewing, reading, watching T.V. walking and spending time with her family.

Esther is survived by her husband of 65 years, Dale Armstrong of Ammon; children, Kelli (Heinrich) Schifferer of Richmond, KY; Lyle Dale (Susan) Armstrong of Smith River, CA; Ann (Roger) Clark of Menan, ID; Joyce (Ken) Bentley of Vernal, UT; Cheryl (Stan) Kirchner of Iona, ID; Kathi (Brian) Gilman of Renton, WA; Brandon James (Lisa) Armstrong of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Agnes Galbraith of Oregon; 25 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Delsa Braegger, Fern Sorenson and Ruby Braegger; brothers, C. Nathan Fisher, Laurel "Pete" Fisher, Don C. Fisher and Larry Fisher.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 9, 2017, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road in Ammon, with Bishop Brian Call of the Ammon 18th Ward, officiating. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to the services both times at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Rigby-Pioneer Cemetery.

Funeral Services will be held

Saturday December 9, 2017 , 11:00 AM at Wood Funeral Home East Side

The family will visit with friends on Friday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to the services both times at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Rigby-Pioneer Cemetery.
