Ervin Spencer

Ervin Henry Spencer, 81, of Iona, Idaho, passed away July 14, 2016, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Ervin was born October 2, 1934, in Bethel, Missouri, to William Thomas Spencer and Florence Exona Jones Spencer. He grew up and attended schools in Roberts, Idaho.

On October 24, 1954, he married Kaye Walden Williams in Elko, Nevada. To this union were born four children, Renea, Tanna, Kent and Tom. Ervin and Kaye made their home in Iona, Idaho, where Ervin was a rancher.

He enjoyed camping, fishing, woodwork, working on old cars and riding horses.

Ervin is survived byhis loving wife of 61 years, Kaye Spencer of Iona, ID; brother, John Spencer of Leanord, MO; brother, Wally (Barbara) Spencer of Hamer, ID; sister, Mary (Bill) Walker of Atlanta, MO; daughter, Renea Colvin of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Tanna Spencer of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Kent (Penny) Spencer of Roy, UT; 11 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Marvin Spencer, son, Tom Spencer, grandson, Tyson Spencer, two great granddaughters, Serenity and Sydnee.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1-5 p.m. Monday, July 18, 2016, at the Iona Park, on Rainbow Lane in Iona.
