Ernest Shields

Ernest Shields, 62, of Victor, Idaho, passed away December 31, 2018, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Ernest was born May 15, 1956, in Gainesville, Georgia, to Ulysee Shields and Martha Sue Shields. He grew up and attended schools in Gainesville and graduated from East Hall High School. Ernest owned and operated a painting company in Jackson, Wyoming. He most recently drove cars for Teton Motors in Jackson Hole. He was a member of The River Crossing Church. Ernest enjoyed fishing, driving and golfing. He was very friendly and loved to talk to people. Ernest is survived by his loving mother, Martha Sue (Donald (deceased)) Hunter of Gainesville, GA; son, Allen (Shemika) Studivant of Gainesville, GA; son, Ernest Anton Shields of Athens, GA; sister, Barbara (Charles) Wilburn of Gainesville, GA; sister, Kimbler Alexander of Gainesville, GA; brother, James Edward Shields of Gainesville, GA; brother, Billy Ray Shields of Gainesville, GA; brother, James Henry (Gail) Pulliam of Gainesville, GA; and a grandson, Bryson. He was preceded in death by his father, Ulysee Shields, sister, Mary Annette Childers, niece, Lisa Renee Childers, nephew, Hunter Alexander Robbins, son, Ernest Antwon Studivant, and sister-in-law, Nancy Shields. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 22, 2018, The River Crossing Church, 3205 W. Big Trails Drive in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
