Ernest Hackman

Ernest ‘Ernie” Hackman, 82, of Idaho Falls, passed away July 18, 2012, at his home. He was born April 17, 1930, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Fritz Henry Hackman and Anna Maria Flefalu Hackman. Ernie married Lorna Emma Crow on October 3, 1952. She passed away July 28, 2000. He worked for various farmers, Anton Brinkman, Backland, Johnson and Snell and finally at GPOD for 25 years before retiring in 1995. Ernie was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. He enjoyed camping and working in his yard, dancing, playing pool and gathering firewood. He is survived by: Daughter, Connie Lyn (Edward) Fowler of Shelley, ID; Daughter, Julie Ann (David) Weise of Shelley, ID; Daughter, Renee Lorna Williams of Idaho Falls, ID; Son, Paul Ernie Hackman, Pocatello, ID; Son, Monte Chris (Bethane) Hackman, Idaho Falls, ID; Son, Todd Jeffery (Rebecca) Hackman of Shelley, ID; Brother, Louis Hackman of Idaho Falls, ID; Brother, Herman (Dianne) Hackman of Idaho Falls, ID; Sister, Hertha (Bob) Blunk of Detroit, MI; 15 Grandchildren and 29 Great Grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorna, his parents, and two brothers, LeRoy and Robert Paul. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at the Taylor Cemetery . The family will visit with friends on Friday from 7- 8:30 p.m. and on Saturday from 12:30-1:30 p.m., both at Wood Funeral Home (273 N.
