ERMA MARLEY
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Erma Maxine Wilkins Marley, 84, died August 22, 2006, at Turtle & Crane Assisted Living.
She was born July 30, 1922, in Ucon, Idaho, to Andrew “Tuff” Wilkins and Vida Lillith Cole Wilkins. She grew up and attended school in the Ucon area, graduating from Ucon High School. She graduated in May of 1944 from the LDS Hospital School of Nursing.
She married Golden Hawkins Marley May 17, 1945, in Rigby, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan, Utah, LDS Temple November 7, 1945. Golden died November 2, 2003. She worked as a registered nurse and was a mother and a homemaker.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, where she served in many callings and was an officiator at the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She enjoyed her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by:
Son, Jay G. (Cynthia) Marley of Idaho Falls;
Son, Alan W. (Nancy) Marley of Idaho Falls;
Daughter, Marsha (Frank) Walker of Idaho Falls;
Son, Michael R. (Pamela) Marley of Ucon;
Son, Ronald L. Marley of Sacramento;
Daughter, Paula (Mark) Boam of Grant;
Sister, Lula Call of Idaho Falls
22 Grandchildren and 28 Great Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, Maxine, two brothers and five sisters.
Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 25, 2006, at the Ucon LDS Monument Ward, 10854 North 41st East, with Bishop Sidney A. Hill officiating. The family will visit with friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge. Burial will be in the Ucon Cemetery.
