ERMA BURKE
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Erma Fae Burke, 81, of Idaho Falls, died June 29, 2007, at her home. She was under the care of Creekside Home Health.
She was born January 25, 1926, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Noral O'Dell Brown and Edna Mae Christensen Brown. She attended Riverside Elementary, O.E. Bell Jr. High School, and Idaho Falls High School.
She married Keith Burke November 25, 1942, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He preceded her in death on November 6, 1991. She lived in Idaho Falls most of her life. She moved to Los Angeles, California, when her husband was in the Navy, and returned to Idaho Falls, where she resided in her home for the last 54 years. She worked as a dining room waitress at Old Topper for 10 years and the Stardust Restaurant for 30 years.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed making family photo albums, shopping for gifts, putting puzzles together, going to Aspen Acres in her motor home and golfing with her husband. She once made a hole-in-one at Heise Hill #2 hole. Erma made the best homemade noodles and chocolate cake with chocolate frosting.

6 Grandchildren & 9 Great Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers, Jay, Howard, Dick, Gene, Lynn, and Bobby; and two sisters, Lola Storer and Catherine Mansfield.
Graveside Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue, Idaho Falls.

I have lived across the street from Erma for many years and will miss her smiling face and greeting of Hi Kay. She was a wonderful person. I am unable to attend the service but wished to express to the family how deeply sorry I am for there loss.
