Erma Katherine Brown, 89, went home to our Lord, December 31, 2014, at Parkwood Meadows Assisted Living Community in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Erma was born June 26, 1925, in Blue Bell, Utah, to Robert and Nyda Jenkins. She grew up in Utah and California and moved to Idaho to live with her uncle when she was 17.
Erma married Lionel Brown on January 6, 1946, in Roberts, Idaho. They lived briefly in California before Lionel was discharged from the Army. They returned to Idaho and lived in the Roberts area before moving to Idaho Falls. Erma was a homemaker and raised five children.
Erma enjoyed time spent with her family. In her leisure time she took pleasure in doing needlework and reading. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and was a member of the ladies aide group. After moving to Parkwood Meadows, she enjoyed playing bingo with dear friends.
Erma is survived by her daughters, DiAnn Brown and Debra Hogg of Idaho Falls, and her son, Rick Brown (Debbie) of Olathe, Kansas. She had 8 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Erma was preceded in death by her husband, Lionel, her daughter, Linda Gilmore, and her son, Clinton Brown.
