Eric Brett Campbell

Eric Brett Campbell, 57, passed away on November 20, 2023, at his parents' home from cardiac arrest. He was born on June 12, 1966, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Idaho Falls to Larry M. and Coral D. (Mann) Campbell, the oldest of their three children. Eric was a lifelong resident of Idaho Falls, attending all his school years in the Idaho Falls School District. Upon completion of his schooling, Eric joined the Idaho National Guard, completing his service with them with an honorable discharge. He worked in numerous occupations, but the job he loved the most was as a school custodian for District 91. He loved working with and getting to know the children at the schools, who would run up to him and call him, "Mr. Eric." He took pride in being a hard worker and having a high standard of excellence in all he pursued.

His intelligence was evident early on, with him learning to walk and to talk at an extremely young age. Eric was an active scout in his youth and an avid skier up through adulthood. He was highly intelligent with a voracious thirst for knowledge. He knew something about everything, and was happiest when he found someone he could debate with. He was an accomplished guitar player, loving to play everything from classical pieces to rock. Eric also loved riding his bike anywhere and everywhere he could, reveling in the freedom and joy bike riding gave him. He also found great pleasure in woodworking, making beautiful jewelry boxes which he sold and creating unique designs of his own.

Eric was a beloved son, brother, and uncle who took great pride in his nieces and nephews, always admonishing them to do their best and be kind and curious people. He will be remembered as kind-hearted, someone who loved his family deeply, and someone who was always striving to understand his own self and life better. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his parents Larry and Coral (Mann) Campbell, sister Julie (Vince) Rafn, and brother Danny (Melinda) Campbell, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
