EMMA TAYLOR
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Emma Simmons Taylor, 77, of Idaho Falls, passed away in the comfort of her home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, on December 25, 2006, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born July 2, 1929, at Spanish Fork, Utah, to Franklyn Clayson Simmons and Emma Arelda Coulson Simmons and was the oldest of five children. The family later moved to Ammon, where she graduated from Ammon High School.
From 1966 to 2002 she was a breakfast waitress at the Stardust Restaurant where she became a friend to people from around the world and where she met her sweetheart. On March 6, 1976, she married Gerald William Taylor in Idaho Falls.
Emma was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker who enjoyed square dancing, sewing, crafts, music and creating costumes for many friends in her dance club. She also loved to entertain and to take care of her daughters.
She will be greatly missed by her husband, Gerald W. Taylor;
her siblings - Lynn (Irene) Simmons,
Flora (Mac) Grover,
Frank (Barbara) Simmons,
and Arelda (Lloyd) Clark;
her children - Karma (Theron) Wyatt, Gerri (Mitch) Adams, and Paula (David) Taylor;
grandchildren - Douglas McNamara, Shaunna Wyatt, Dominique , Chase and Caprice Taylor; and great grandchildren - Aiden & Rowan Anderson; and her stepchildren - Rocky Taylor, Danny Taylor, Valerie Connolly, Wesley Taylor, Natalie Bombardier, Jeffery (Jay) Taylor, and Jodie Jones;
as well as many friends at Wal-Mart where Emma worked for four years will also miss her greatly
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00.p.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue, with Jeffery Taylor officiating. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the services at the Wood Funeral Home.
