Emma Beatriz Negrete, 82, of Idaho Falls, passed away November 18, 2010 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center after a year of battling lung cancer. She was born May 26, 1928 in Quito, Ecuador, to Julio Cesar Amores and Luz Maria Negrete. Emma married Luis Alban in 1956. After he passed away in 1974, she raised her six beautiful children by herself and never remarried. She came to Idaho in 1988 to be with family here. Her children and grandchildren were her life. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved everyone she came in contact with and served everyone with the greatest of love. No one who helped her or served her ever went away wondering if it was appreciated since it was usually always followed with a hug and a kiss. Her main hobbies were selflessly taking care of her children and grandchildren. She loved knitting and crocheting, cooking, cleaning, camping and traveling. She also loved going to Lava Hot Springs and enjoyed good food. She is survived by her children, Jaime (Paty) Vega, Washington (Myrian) Alban, Olga Alban and Fanny Alban all of Quito, Ecuador, and Lewi (Tanya) Alban and Nancy (Chris) McMurtrey of Idaho Falls. She also had 12 Grandchildren and five great-grandchildren who adored her. She was preceded in death by her parents. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 27, 2010 at the Idaho Falls LDS South Stake building at 2051 S. Emerson Ave., near East 20th and Higbee Avenue. A light lunch will be served afterward and the family will meet with friends during this time.
