Emma Goerg

Emma Louise Goerg, 63, of Idaho Falls, passed away March 21, 2014, at her home of cancer. She was under the care of Aspen Home Health and Hospice. Emma was born January 23, 1951, in Malad, Idaho, to Reed Westwood Moon and Gloria June Moon. She grew up and attended schools in Malad and graduated from Malad High School. She also attended Idaho State University. On August 16, 1985, she married Donald Mark Goerg at the Logan, Utah LDS Temple. To this union were born three sons, Christopher, Matthew, and David. Emma and Donald made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Emma worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at the Parkview Hospital. Her favorite and most significant work was raising her children. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in the Relief Society. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, tole painting, crafting and reading. Emma is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Donald Goerg of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Christopher Mark Goerg; son, Matthew Curry Goerg; son, David Helaman Goerg; brother, Charles R. Moon; brother, Joseph L. Moon; brother, Eddie Davis Sr.; sister, Sylvia R. Moon; sister, Alice D. Dudley. She was preceded in death by her father, Reed Westwood Moon, and her mother, Gloria June Davis. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at the Idaho Falls LDS 2nd Ward, 885 South Boulevard, with Bishop Jay Doman officiating. The family will visit with friends Monday from 6:30–8:00 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, and Tuesday from 10:00–10:45 am. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.

Tuesday March 25, 2014 , 11 am at Idaho Falls LDS 2nd Ward

The family will visit with friends Monday from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, and Tuesday from 10:00 - 10:45 am. Burial will be in the Malad Cemetery.
