With love, sadness, and deep admiration, we announce the passing of Emil Norman Hahn, who died on Saturday, December 27, 2025, with his wife of 51 years at his side.
Emil was born on June 13, 1942, at home in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Jacob Hahn and Marie Brunnhuber Hahn. He is survived by his beloved wife, Gaylene Hahn, and their four children: Tasha (Bob), Christian (Tara), Ahren (Aaron), and Lisa (Preston), as well as 26 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
He served in the United States Air Force and later attended Brigham Young University, where he earned a degree in electrical engineering and worked in that field for the duration of his career. Emil was a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and lived his faith with sincerity and devotion throughout his life. He was a faithful member of the Church and a devoted disciple of Jesus Christ. He served faithfully in many church callings throughout his life.
Emil will be remembered as a dedicated husband and father who loved his family deeply and lived with integrity. He had a lifelong commitment to seeking truth, working diligently, and standing firmly for righteous causes. His example of steady faith, quiet perseverance, and devotion to family will continue to influence his posterity and all who knew him.
The family finds comfort in the eternal promises of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Lincoln 3rd Ward, 2545 East Mesa. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.
