Emanuele "Manny" Tsikoudakis, 56, passed away on December 5, 2025, in Mayes County, Oklahoma. Born on October 30, 1969, in Rome, Italy, Manny lived a life defined by passion, adventure, and an unwavering dedication to the skies.
From a young age, Manny was captivated by the dream of flight—a fascination that would shape his life and lead him across continents. His journey in aviation began in Colorado, where he worked with a flight school and quickly distinguished himself as a talented and dedicated pilot. Eager to expand his skills, he continued his training in California, focusing on helicopters—the aircraft that had captured his imagination since childhood.
Manny's pursuit of excellence took him next to Florida, where he became a flight instructor. There, he not only refined his technical abilities but also formed deep and lasting friendships. His enthusiasm for flying was infectious, and many who trained under him carried forward not just his lessons but also his spirit.
As his career progressed, Manny ventured into some of the most challenging and breathtaking environments imaginable. He flew missions across Alaska's rugged wilderness, Hawaii's volcanic landscapes, and the mountainous terrain surrounding Idaho Falls—a place that became a second home to him. Along the way, he embraced every opportunity to grow and contribute. His work included search and rescue operations, firefighting missions, power-line construction flights, and other specialized assignments that demanded both skill and courage.
Manny's love for aviation was more than a profession—it was a calling. But beyond the cockpit, he was a man of many interests and boundless energy. He had a deep appreciation for firearms and shooting sports, enjoyed scuba diving in far-flung waters, relished traveling to new places, and delighted in connecting with people from all walks of life. Wherever he went, Manny built bridges—forming friendships rooted in shared passions and mutual respect.
Those who had the privilege of knowing Manny remember him as someone who radiated warmth and kindness. He never met a stranger—only friends he hadn't made yet. His conversations were marked by sincerity and curiosity; his presence brought comfort and joy.
At the heart of Manny's world was his mother, Mariella Tullini. From his first breath to his final days, she was his guiding light—his mentor, cheerleader, and sanctuary. Her love shaped him into the man he became: compassionate, resilient, and full of life. Their bond was profound—a testament to the enduring strength of a mother's love. Manny carried her wisdom with him always; her influence echoed in every decision he made and every kindness he extended.
Manny was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Alyssa.
He is survived by his beloved mother, Mariella Tullini; his aunt, Paola; and his uncle, Achille—all residing in Lugano, Switzerland. Their love sustained him throughout his life and remains a lasting part of his legacy.
Though Manny's time with us ended too soon, the impact he made will endure—in the lives he touched through aviation, in the friendships he nurtured across continents, and in the hearts of those who loved him deeply.
May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and may the skies forever carry the echo of his spirit.
