ELVIN L. FIRKINS
IDAHO FALLS, ID - Elvin Lee Firkins, 66, of Idaho Falls,
died May 13, 2005, at his home.
He was born December 6, 1938, in Pocatello, to Ernest Firkins
and Hazel Velva Porritt Firkins. He grew up and attended schools in the Pocatello
area. On his 17th birthday, he joined the U.S. Navy.
On November 25, 1987, he married Linda Jo Johnson in Idaho
Falls. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on February
17, 2005. He worked for 30 years as a Foreman in the potato industry. Later,
he worked for 10 years as a janitor at Fred Meyers. At the time of his death,
he was a janitor for Doug Andrus & Sons Company.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints. He enjoyed fishing, reading and especially loved being with his grandchildren.

Daughter: Kandi Butler, Idaho Falls, ID
18 Grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 17,
2005, at the Idaho Falls LDS Willow Creek Ward (6925 North 15 East), with
Bishop Heber Andrus officiating.
The family will visit with friends on Monday from 6 to 8
p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) and for one hour prior to the services
at the church.
Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery under the direction
of Wood Funeral Home. Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County
Veterans Memorial Team.
