ELVID L. NELSON
IDAHO FALLS, ID - Elvid Lorenzo Nelson, 84, of Idaho Falls,
died November 11, 2003, at the Idaho Falls Care Center.
He was born November 23, 1918, in Mink Creek, Idaho to
Almon Lorenzo Nelson and Lettie Rasmussen Nelson. He attended schools in
Mink Creek, Taysom, Woodville, and graduated from Shelley High School. After
high school, he attended Henager's Business College in Salt Lake City.
He served as a Sergeant for the Amphibious Land and Sea
Army during World War II.
He lived in Denver and then in Idaho Falls where he worked
as an Assistant Manager and Loan Officer for the Production Credit Association.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints. He enjoyed traveling and reading.

Brother: Jay (Barbara) Nelson, Fresno, CA
Brother: Kay (Mary) Nelson, Woodville, ID
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Rex, Vern and Verl D.,
and a sister, Barbara Taylor.
Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, November
15, 2003, at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge).
Burial will be in the Shelley-Hillcrest Cemetery under
the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave., Idaho Falls. Military
rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team.
