ELVA B. COFFIN
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Elva Birch Coffin, 85, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, died December 24, 2001, at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
She was born May 10, 1916 in Wilford, Idaho to Melvin Birch and Rosa Smith Birch. She grew up and attended schools in Wilford, graduating from Sugar City High School. She attended Ricks College and Idaho State University where she obtained her degree in education.
She married Paul Thomas in 1946. They resided in Teton City and Idaho Falls. He passed away in 1975.
She married LaVell J. Coffin May 2, 1979 in Elko, Nevada. They lived in Idaho Falls except for brief stays in St. George, Utah and Boise, Idaho. She taught school primarily in Idaho Falls for over 20 years. He preceded her in death February 6, 1995.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She enjoyed playing cards, listening to music, traveling, golfing and spending time with her family.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m Friday, December 28, 2001, at the Teton LDS Church with Bishop Thayne Siddoway officiating.
The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to services on Friday at the church.
