ELSIE NICHOLS IDAHO FALLS, ID - Elsie Virginia Turner Nichols, 67, of Idaho Falls, died July 22, 2005, at her home. She was under care of Aspen Home Health and Hospice. She was born November 23, 1937, in Glendora, Tallahatchie County, Mississippi, to Ernest C. Turner and Sally Cathrine Fly Turner. She attended Drew Grade school, High School and Clarke Memorial College in Newton, Mississippi. She married Willard A. Nichols September 1, 1956, in Hernando, Mississippi. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple May 18, 1968. She has lived in Idaho Falls for 37 years where she raised her family and worked as a bank teller. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she and her husband served a mission to South Africa in 1995-96. She enjoyed her home life, sewing, gardening and her family and friends. She is survived by: Husband: Willard A Nichols, Idaho Falls, Son: Gregory A. Nichols, Idaho Falls Mother: Sally C. Turner Brothers: Dale, Gerald, Charles and Clinton Turner Sisters: Barbara Ostermiller and Sharon Taylor 1 grandchild She was preceded in death by her father, a son, David Eric and two brothers, Carroll L. and Carl B. Turner. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2005, at the Idaho Falls LDS 21st Ward, 1155 East First Street, with Dee Whittier officiating. The family will visit with friends Monday from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, and for one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
