Elmina Grant - 08/13/2002 Elmina Grant - 08/13/2002 ELMINA GRANT IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Elmina Adams Grant, 89, of Idaho Falls, died August 12, 2002, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of causes incident to age. She was born May 17, 1913, at Rigby, to William Heber Adams and Arlitta Hatfield Adams. She grew up in the Irwin and Alpine area and attended school at Irwin, Blowout, Punkin Center, and Fidelity. When she was 18 she moved to Bone for five years, then lived in Osgood and Idaho Falls, where she has lived ever since. She married Robert Lewis Grant June 17, 1939, in Dillon, Montana. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She was a homemaker and mother. She also cleaned offices and worked several years in a craft shop and in the laundry at the Westbank Motel. Her husband passed away June 19, 1978. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the REAC (Eagles Lodge), Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, and volunteered with hospice. She enjoyed painting, crocheting, reading, raising African violets, driving cars, hunting, fishing, and her grandchildren. She was known for baking the famous chocolate cake with the white icing. Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 17, 2002, at the Idaho Falls LDS 39th Ward, 7940 North 35 West (Osgood Building), with Bishop Alan Reed officiating. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, Idaho Falls, and for one hour prior to the services on Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Ririe-Shelton Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, Idaho Falls, Idaho 83402-4092.
