ELMER CARBIENER
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Elmer John Carbiener, 85, of Idaho Falls, died August 31, 2007, at Davis Hospital in Layton, Utah, of causes incident to age. He was under the care of Aspen Hospice.
He was born February 26, 1922, in Geneva, Illinois, to John Irvin Carbiener and Viola Catherine DeVol Carbiener. He graduated from Geneva High School. He served as a T-5 in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He married June R. Neal July 6, 1946, in Geneva, Illinois. She preceded him in death November 28, 1998. He resided in El Paso, Texas, from 1947 to 1963; Flagstaff, Arizona, from 1963 to 1966; Prescott, Arizona, from 1966 to 1970; and Idaho Falls since 1970. He worked for 22 years for Southern Union Gas Company and for 15 years as Manager for the Idaho State Liquor Dispensary.
He was a member of the Methodist Church and was an active leader of the Boy Scouts of America. He enjoyed model railroading, jigsaw puzzles and crossword puzzles.

Son: Ronald Edward (Bonnie Lee) Carbiener, Bull Head City, AZ
Daughter: Catherine Lynn (Timothy Leo) Curzon, Shelley, ID
Son: Charles Neal Carbiener, Grand Junction, CO
7 Grandchildren & 9 Great Grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his wife and son, Johnny.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2007, at Fielding Memorial Park with Bishop Ron Carbiener officiating.

Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team.
