ELMA M. CROFT
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Elma Moss Croft, 85, of Idaho Falls, died June 29, 2002, at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
She was born January 16, 1917 at Iona, to Joseph Crich Moss and Clara Lindholm Horman Moss. When she was 4 years old, the family moved to Osgood where she attended Osgood Elementary. Three years later, they moved to Brynum, Montana where she attended Brynum Elementary and Choteau High School. The family returned to Iona where she graduated from Iona High School.
She married Eldon Thornton Croft on November 13, 1936 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in the Relief Society Presidency, as a visiting teacher, Primary teacher, Sunday School teacher, and in the Stake Primary Presidency. She enjoyed fishing, sewing, cooking, and especially spending time with her family.
Surviving are:Husband: Eldon Thornton Croft, Iona, IDDaughter: Elma Irene (Darrol) Gardner, Iona, IDDaughter: Venice Gayle (Larry) Whitehead, Iona, IDSon: Lloyd Thearl (Terry) Croft, Iona, IDDaughter: Joyce Ann (Dusty) Hincks, Swan Valley, IDDaughter: Sydney Kaye (Dell) Robertson, Iona, IDBrother: Wardell Moss, Rexburg, IDSister: Wanda Mortimer, Rigby, IDSister: Verla Jeppson, Farmington, UT 27 Grandchildren, 45 Great Grandchildren, and 3 Great Great Grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents and 5 brothers.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m Wednesday, July 3, 2002, at the Iona LDS 3rd Ward (5169 East Denning), with Dell W. Robertson, a counselor in the Iona LDS 3rd Ward Bishopric, officiating.
The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 7-8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home Eastside, located at 963 South Ammon Road and for one hour prior to the services on Wednesday at the church.
Burial will be in Iona Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
