Ellis S Hunt, 80, of Idaho Falls, passed away May 1, 2017, at Teton Post Acute Care & Rehabilitation. Ellis was born April 17, 1937, in Logan, Utah, to Samual Hunt and Lillie Skiby Hunt Cook. He grew up and attended schools in School District 93 and graduated from Bonneville High School. Ellis was a Veteran and served in the US Air Force. On March 26, 1975, he married Dorothy Leilani in Laie, Hawaii. To this union was born a son, Richard Hunt. They were later divorced. Ellis worked as golf marshal at Wailea (Blue) Golf Course. He was a member of The Church of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a mission in Montana and loved serving in the Hawaii LDS Temple. Ellis enjoyed attending church, spending time with his family, and eating out. Ellis is survived by his sister, Aloma (Jerry) Peterson of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Sherrie Johnson of Idaho Falls, ID; and son, Richard Hunt of Maui, HI. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Larry Hunt. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 6, 2017, at Ammon Cemetery, with Bishop Brian McBride of the Sandcreek 1st Ward officiating.
