Kaylene Huffman

Ellen Kaylene Huffman, 63, of Idaho Falls, passed away September 22, 2026, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Kaylene was born June 15, 1963, in Idaho Falls, ID, to Rex Prophet and Yvonne Wright. She grew up and attended schools in Shelley, ID.

On May 19, 1984, she married David Lewis Huffman Sr. in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Kaylene and David made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Kaylene was a homemaker. Together they had three boys: Kevin, Shawn, and David Jr., and she loved every moment of being their mother.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed country music, plants, flowers, animals, knick knacks, and spending time with her family,

Kaylene is survived by her husband, David Huffman, Sr. of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Kevin Kory (Ashley) Huffman of Elko, NV, son, Shawn (Tasha) Huffman of Clearfield, UT, son, David (Mary) Huffman, Jr. of Midland, SD; sister, Kristene Taylor of Shelley, ID, sister, Korene (Richard) Gonzales of Idaho Falls, ID, brother, Kent (Penny) Harding of Idaho Falls, ID; father, Rex Prophet; and 8 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Yvonne Wright; brother, Kevin Harding, brother, Willis Kim Harding; nephew, Kameron Harding; and sister-in-law, Shelly Castle.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 2-3:30 p.m. Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road.
