Elizabeth "Betty" Sheean Wade, resident of Idaho Falls, Idaho, formerly of Lincoln, California, passed away at home after a long courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by family, on August 9, 2018, at the age of 93. She was born January 17, 1925, in Glendale, Los Angeles, California, to Joseph Sheean and Edna Merrill Sheean. She was the oldest of five children. She graduated from Grant Union High School in California and is a graduate of Loyola University School of Nursing, Chicago, Illinois. She worked as a Program Specialist Health Services for San Juan Unified School District in California and retired as a School Nurse at El Camino High School, Sacramento, California. She loved traveling, golfing, playing cards especially bridge and gin. Her favorite times were spent with friends and family. She was predeceased by her husband, Merlin L Wade, after fifty years of marriage; son, Gerald "Jerry" Wade of Sacramento; both her parents, along with two sisters and one brother. She will be greatly missed by her daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Bill Boggs of Idaho Falls, ID; grandchildren, Justin and Kelly Boggs of Chicago, IL, Ashley and Ronald Demmer of Rigby, ID, Corene and Bryan Young of Idaho Falls, ID, and Rebecca Wade of Roseville, CA; and seven great-grandchildren. Family will hold a private Celebration of Life. In lieu of flowers or donations, the family requests that you and yours schedule some time to spend together having fun, go to a show, picnic, out to dinner, or play her favorite game of golf. Bury any grudges and celebrate life.
