BETTY LAWYER
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Elizabeth Helen "Betty" Lawyer, 78, of Idaho Falls, died March 6, 2008, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center following a lingering illness.
She was born April 5, 1929, in Barnard, Maine, to Frank Rankin and Helen Elizabeth Hagen Rankin. She graduated from Foxcroft Academy in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine.
On November 25, 1956, she married Franklin E. Lawyer in the Methodist Church at Woodland, Illinois. She was employed by E.G. & G. and retired in 1995.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church. She enjoyed times with her family, cooking, gardening, crocheting, camping, and helping others in need. She was a member of Lily Rebekah Lodge #33 for over twenty five years, serving in several offices..
Survivors include:
Husband: Frank Lawyer, Idaho Falls, ID
Daughter: Julie Beasterfield, Idaho Falls, ID
Son: Brian (Marci) Lawyer, Sioux Falls, SD
3 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and a sister.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave., Idaho Falls, with Chaplain Marv Eld of Trinity United Methodist Church officiating. The family will visit with friends Monday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday for one hour prior to services, both at Wood Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. In lieu of f lowers, donations may be made to the Arthritis Foundation.
