Elizabeth Ann "Beth" (Taubman) Painter

Elizabeth Ann “Beth” Painter, 62, of Idaho Falls, passed away December 7, 2021, at Idaho Falls Community Hospital.

Beth was born May 3, 1959, in Moscow, Idaho, to James Henry Taubman and Eileen Rose Gray Taubman. She grew up and attended schools in Tofte, Minnesota, and graduated from Oxnard High School in Oxnard, California.  She also attended Ventura College and earned a certificate of nursing.

On December 15, 1979, she married John Anthony Shank Painter in St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Oxnard, California. Beth met John in high school and after their first date, John was determined to marry Beth. Three years later, they did and have been married for almost 42 years. Not only did they love each other, but were still in love with one another. They were true soul mates.

Beth and John made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where she worked as a nurse. Beth was a nurse for 43 years and took care of thousands of patients. She truly loved hands-on patient care, ensuring that they were at ease at a time of distress. She was loved by everyone she worked with, and known for her compassion, kindness, and her radiant smile.

She was a member of the Catholic church.  She enjoyed reading, chic-flicks, knitting, and her beloved Minnesota Vikings.

Beth is survived by her loving husband, John Anthony Shank Painter of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Cassandra Painter of Idaho Falls, ID; and sister, Cee (Chris Donner) Neuner of Canby, OR.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road. The service will be broadcast live on this webpage. The family will visit with friends from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. prior to services. In honor of Beth, the family is asking those that attend the service to wear purple.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests gifts to the Angel Trees at Mountain View Hospital and Idaho Falls Community Hospital.
