Elise Michelle Meyer

Elise Michelle Meyer, 61, of Idaho Falls, passed away July 26, 2024, at her home. She was under the care of Enhabit Home Health and Hospice and her loving family.

Elise was born August 26, 1962, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Kay Spencer Covert and Sandra Lucille Lund Covert. She grew up in Osgood, Iona, and Idaho Falls, and graduated from Bonneville High School in 1981.

On June 5, 1992, she married Alan Meyer in Iona, Idaho. Elise and Alan made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Elise worked as a cashier for Walmart.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed lighthouses, collecting dolls, sewing, anything crafty, having family around and doing things with them. She loved diamond art and won first place at the East Idaho State Fair last Fall with her war pony diamond art.

Elise is survived by her husband, Alan Meyer of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Connie (Dracy) Taylor of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Debbie (Terry) Payton of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Mettine (James) Mottor of Iona, ID; son, Roy Meyer of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Scott Covert of Idaho Falls, ID; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; both sets of grandparents; sister, Corinna Welker; nephew, Kevin Clark; nephew, Travis Fullmer, Jr.; and uncle, Fud Covert.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 3, 2024, at the Iona Cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to services at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road.
