Eli Wood - 10/03/2002 Eli Wood - 10/03/2002 ELI WOOD IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Tawn Eli Wood, 47, of Idaho Falls, died October 1, 2002, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of complications from surgery. He was born January 1, 1955, to Joseph Earl and Bernice Afton Clark-Wood. He was a wonderful son, father, brother, grandfather and friend. He grew up in Idaho Falls, attending schools in School District 93. He worked in radio as an announcer for 25 years. He was known as “Lovin' Uncle Johnny,” John Henry Hughes, and “Uncle Eli” to a great many fans. He worked at all the radio stations in Idaho Falls, Blackfoot and Pocatello, most recently at KUPI radio. He enjoyed music, computers, sports, sports car racing, and the companionship of his grandchildren, Elijah Morgan and Chance Joseph Wood, and also of the true love of his life, Yolanda Broadfoot. Surviving are:Daughter: Darcey Tara Wood, Idaho Falls, IDMother: Bernice Afton WoodBrother: Timothy Steven Wood, Idaho Falls2 Grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his father. Graveside Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 5, 2002, at Fielding Memorial Park under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
