Eleanor Larson

Eleanor Ann Larson, 90, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away Monday, February 17, 2014, at Morningstar Senior Living Center in Idaho Falls. Eleanor was born September 25, 1923, in Everett, Washington, to William James Marshall and Abigail Livesay Marshall. She grew up and attended schools in Marysville, Washington and graduated from Marysville High School. She also attended Nursing Training in Everett following graduation where she earned her Nurses Certificate. On August 1, 1947, she married Delbert L. Larson. To this union were born three sons, Bill, Bruce, and Brent. Eleanor and Delbert made their first home in Williston, North Dakota where she worked as a nurse at the Good Samaritan Hospital. In 1962 the family moved to Marysville, Washington where Eleanor worked at Everett General Hospital as an operating room nurse until her retirement in 1980. In retirement, Eleanor and Delbert moved to Bozeman, Montana, where Delbert passed away in 1996. Eleanor continued to live there until 2003, when she moved to Hilo, Hawaii where she lived for 10 years. During her retirement she volunteered at the hospitals in both Bozeman and Hilo. Eleanor is survived by her sons, Bill (Marcia) Larson of Salt Lake City, UT; Bruce (Pat) Larson of Hilo, HI; and Brent (Wanda) Larson of Rigby, ID; a brother, Doug Marshall of Tucson, AZ; 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Services will be arranged for a later date.
