Eleanor Daisy Pritchard Angell passed away October 5, 2010 at Mt. Vernon Assisted Living in Idaho Falls at the age of 89. She was born Oct. 12, 1920, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to George and Daisy Orril Huff Pritchard. When she was 6 months old, she moved with her parents to Los Angeles, California, where she grew up and attended school. The day after her 16th birthday she married Richard Bell Angell in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was the mother of Alice Marie and Richard Jr. The family joined the LDS Church in 1951 and they were sealed in the Mesa, Arizona LDS Temple in 1955. In the late 1950's the family moved to Glendale, California. After she was widowed in 1976, she spent several years working with mentally handicapped children and found great joy in this work. In 2002 she moved to Idaho Falls to be near her daughter's family. She is survived by her daughter, Alice Dennert of Idaho Falls, and her son, Richard Angell of Glendale, CA, 8 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. A family service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 7, 2010 at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave. She will be buried in Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery next to her mother, son-in-law, and near two great-granddaughters. The family wishes to thank the dedicated staff of Mt. Vernon Assisted Living and Aspen Home Health for their kind and gentle care.
