Click Here To View Memorial Video Elden Lee Cress, 53, of Idaho Falls, passed away August 19, 2013, at his home. Elden was born March 5, 1960, in Kingwood, West Virginia, to Donald Carl Cress and Helen Virginia Westfall Cress. He attended Arthur Dale Elementary in West Virginia, St. Anthony schools, and Bonneville High School. On February 26, 2007 he married Sherry Lamar in Idaho Falls. Elden worked as a mechanic for family, in construction doing concrete and drywall work, and later as a cabinet maker. He enjoyed fishing, camping, being outdoors, spending time with his family, and playing with his grandkids. Elden is survived by his loving wife, Sherry Cress of Idaho Falls, ID; Daughter, Jennifer (Justin) Burgess of Idaho Falls, ID, Daughter, Terry (Jadon) Brock of Idaho Falls, Daughter, Trisha Mortensen of Idaho Falls, ID, Son, Trevor James McCowin of Idaho Falls, ID, Father, Donald and Helen Cress of Ammon, ID, Brother, Donald Carl (Sandy) Cress Jr. of Thornton, ID, Brother, Audis Dale (Peggy) Cress of Idaho Falls, ID Brother, Ricky Allen Cress of Ammon, ID, Brother-in-law, Val Bruce (Anna) Anderson of Idaho Falls, ID, Brother-in-law, Jody Lynn Waters of Idaho Falls, ID Sister, Donna Virginia (Doug) Rhoads of Bone, ID Sister, Norma Jean (Marc) Clark of Boise, ID, Sister-in-law, Marilyn Lundquist of Basalt, ID Sister-in-law, Kathy Zamora of Idaho Falls, ID Sister-in-law, Debbie Christensen of Idaho Falls, ID 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchildren He was preceded in death by his Grandma and Grandpa Westfall, Grandma and Grandpa Cress, a niece, and many friends and family. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 23, 2013, at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) with Dale Cress officiating. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 1-1:45 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Wood Funeral Home to help with funeral costs.
