ELDA M. BROWN IDAHO FALLS, ID - Elda M. Brown, 88, of Idaho Falls, died August 17, 2004, at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. She was born December 7, 1915, in Shelton,Idaho, to Ira Moore and Mary Ellen Ferguson Moore. She grew up and attended schools in the Shelton area, then, after graduating from Ucon High School, she and her sister moved to Idaho Falls to look for employment. She married Ralph Brown December 20, 1934, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. They made their home in Idaho Falls most of their lives, except when Ralph’s work took them out of state. Ralph preceded her in death on November 17, 1984. She worked as a secretary/bookkeeper in her younger years and was a homemaker all of her life. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she was a Primary teacher, Librarian, Secretary in Relief Society and Sunday School and she and Ralph also served as Officiators in the Temple. She enjoyed needlepoint, knitting, quilting, gardening, reading and especially loved being with her family. Surviving are: Daughter: Vicki Williams Brother: Lloyd (Genevieve) Moore, Portland, OR Sister: Bernece (Dilbert) Otteson, Idaho Falls, ID 4 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph, her son, Verdell Brown, 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 21, 2004, at the Idaho Falls LDS 11th Ward, 1235 Juniper Drive, with Brett Robbins of the 11th Ward Bishopric officiating. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to services Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave., Idaho Falls.
